I’ve been taking lessons with Kelsey for years, basically grown up with her in my life. By far the most fantastic teacher I’ve ever had or dreamed of having. Double Bar is the most inclusive music store around with a care for their customers and students that you wouldn’t see anywhere else. I’ve grown an incredible amount as a person and a musician in the Winter of Rock and Summer of Rock programs, and even more in the private lessons I’ve had with Kelsey since I was 7. Incredible store, highly recommend.

Wow, Kelsey is amazing!! This was my first ever voice lesson and she knocked it out of the park. The first thing she did was ask me what I want to do with my voice – I had a big, long list of goals and it did not faze her 🙂 We then went into determining where on the spectrum my voice is and continued on from there. She could hear things in my voice I couldn’t which really impressed me. The lesson was fun – I kept cracking up whenever I hit a certain note – and I left with homework which I was thrilled about. She takes the time to explain everything – there is nothing in the lesson that is on her agenda – it’s all about you, the client. I can’t wait for my next lesson and how my voice will develop under her tutelage.

Kelsey is excellent! She has helped me become more confident and comfortable with my vocal abilities. An excellent place for students of all ages.

Double bar music is a great place for music lessons, the teachers go out of their way to make students feel comfortable which is key for making great music. 

Kelsey is a marvelous voice teacher with the credentials to back it up, she’s certified in all kinds of important vocal training programs that are important but she’s also cool and down to earth. She’s also a role model for other young women because she runs the whole business with her mom and sister AND performs in a band!! THATS A HUGE DEAL. It is so important to have an instructor who is fully dedicated to doing voice lessons and who is in touch with the music scene. MANY PEOPLE WHO TEACH IN THE ARTS ARE OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE ART WORLD. KELSEY IS SUPER IN TOUCH AND IS A REAL LIFE PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN. 

I am a college student who is working towards a career in musical theatre and did not begin getting semi-professional roles until training under Kelsey. The results are real. Don’t go to (or send your kids to) just anyone with a piano that can read music. Send them to someone who will care about you and your growth as an musician and as a person.

Kelsey is so charming and a magician with voice training in my teenagers.
